Biography
I am currently employed by the town of Ashland City in Cheatham County as a police officer. I have been in law enforcement for over twenty years. I began my martial arts training over 30 years ago because as a young child I dreamed of being a ninja. I am currently ranked Godan (5th Degree black belt) in Kami Bujutsu Ryu. I have also received training in Shotokon and Aikido. Martial arts has taught me many valuable lessons including respect, humility, and restraint. I take tremendous pride in passing on my knowledge to others. One of my favorite martial arts quotes was said by Gichin Funakoshi: “But remember that karate is not only Karate – it is life.”
