Biography
I am currently employed as a Physical Therapist. I have been a PT for 11 years and have been working at the Clarksville VA serving our veterans for the last 5 years. I started martial arts when I was in middle school earned my Jr. Black Belt at 14 and then adult Black Belt at age 16. I began teaching martial arts at 15 with the Clarksville Summer Youth Program, which taught me many valuable lessons. The most valuable trait I have gained throughout my martial arts experience is developing self- confidence. I hope to bring all of our students that same growth and self-confidence. One of my favorite quotes from Gichin Funakoshi is “ The ultimate aim of Karate lies not in victory or defeat, but in the perfection of the character of its participants.”
