The Harris Holt Martial Arts Competition Team, led by Blake Harris, competed in the Music City Open Martial Arts Tournament, hosted by Bobby Austin, at Tennessee State University in Nashville on July 16.
Students won in several categories. Jacob Kilburn and Nicklas Guarino both placed fourth in forms. Harris Holt Martial Arts also won the National Martial Arts Team Sparring Championship.
While there were more than 300 participants, this is significant win for HHMA, considering they opened in January 2011.
They offer classes in aikido, judo, jujitsu, karate and more to ages 4 and up. The facility is located at 211 W. Dunbar Cave Road and was voted Readers Choice Favorite Martial Arts School in May 2011.
